Linda Frey never really dreamed of being a jukebox hero, even though she has played guitar for 38 years. But thanks to rock band Foreigner, the South Whitehall Township woman has a shot at air-guitar immortality. Frey, who works for Rodale of Emmaus, was one of 20 people chosen Monday as a finalist in the national ''Air Guitar for My Guitar'' competition put together by the veteran music act and AARP, the nonprofit group for people age 50 and over. In a dream this week, Kelly Good-Singleton coasted on stage at a concert in her vintage roller skates, coming face to face with the epic ’70s rockers who make up Foreigner. The recently reunited bandmates handed her an autographed guitar. The 42-year-old rock ’n’ roll mom from Stuarts Draft – and her twin sister, Shelly Good-Cook – have Foreigner on the brain this week as they vie for top prize in a nationwide air guitar championship that could make the dream a reality. A pair of rock ‘n roll moms from Stuarts Draft - twins actually - are vying for the top prize in a nationwide air guitar championship this week. Shelly Good-Cook and Kelly Good-Singleton, both 42, teamed up in August at the Shenandoah County Fair to record a 60-second clip of impassioned strumming (without guitars), and earned a spot in the top 20. Online voting will determine the winner, who will receive a trip to Hawaii to be on stage at a Foreigner concert. The band sponsored the competition. So there I was a couple of weeks ago, sitting in the office of my editor, when something on his desk caught my eye. It was an ad for the show that the band Foreigner performed on Friday at Northern Quest Casino.
